    The A1L.f. is the workhorse for the discerning fingerstyle player and those guitarists who often work with alternate tunings. The guitar is more lightly built overall, and offers more substance in the upper range with a decidedly warmer bass range. Tapped harmonics and percussive hits ring through with a fat and voluminous tone. When tuned to standard tuning with medium-light strings, the tone is brilliant and dynamic. I personally tune the guitar to Eb standard (Eb-Ab-Db-Gb -Bb-Eb), Dropped D or DADGAD. I suggest using a medium set of strings when working with these tunings. The optional multi-scale (fan fret) insures a fast attack and clear fundamental in the bass strings…even when tuned down as low as C. The treble strings in the multi-scale configuration are slightly shorter than standard scale length, resulting in warmer and sweeter highs. Once again, for those who prefer lowered tunings, I suggest replacing the standard factory string set (medium lights) with a medium set and a .062 for the lowest bass string.

    The Artist Edition is the uncoated basic Version of the guitar. The polished carbon surface has the feel of a polished stone and due to its lighter surface it generates the maximum sound. The surface is very scratch resistant small scratches can be sanded away easily.
